A WEDDING – Donall Winters guest-ed with Oona Sullivan since he was a tot (his mom, Deirdre is a close friend of Oona and Sheila Burke was his godmother). Donall loves Fire Island and introduced his bride to be, Jennifer Quatrone to Ocean Bay Park. They opted for a Fire Island wedding and Jennifer walked down the aisle at Our Lady of the Magnificat on Saturday, June 11. Friends and family were dispensed by Oona to many of her neighbors (The Auerbachs, Witz’, Errico’s George Ouelette and Mary Chandler), The Fire Island Hotel and to rented houses. HURRICANES RESTAURANT AND THE FIRE ISLAND HOTE – invited OBP homeowners to welcome in the 2005 season. Librations and delicious hor d’oervres prepared by their excellent chef, Melissa Dodici were served on their south lawn. Since buying the property from Flynn’s the FI Hotel has continually upgraded and improved the facility. It no longer resembles the Coast Guard Station it was in its first life. A pool and paved walkway have been added and most of the accommodations upgraded. The tented south lawn offers a perfect setting for weddings and other family parties. Chef Melissa does wonders with food catering for 100 and preparing dinners in the Hurricane Restaurant. (check out the weeknight promotions).
